dc.description.abstractExecutive summary The new age of Information and Communication Technologies has been a very important reason in the development of the life style and organization of Knowledge and Information Society. The education process has experimented an innovation in all levels, especially in Higher Education. The implementation of new learning technologies has generated a different vision about learning process. Learning and On Line Services Programs has been developed between Mexican Universities and International Universities, offering numerous courses and seminars, drawing upon its wealth of resources in the fields of humanities and science. The objective of this paper is to review open a distance learning in the context of present challenges and opportunities. It will be analyzed the specific case of University of Guadalajara; the creation of strategies focused to fulfil the new expectations of education, and the case of the Program Degree in Learning Technologies from UdeG, faced with new training demands, new competitive challenges and the international and intercultural dimensions.es, en
